Introducing JudgeOS: Hackathon Judging on Autopilot

Why we built JudgeOS, how it works, and how it helps you land judging credentials for your visa application.

The Problem

If you're building an O-1A or EB-1A visa case, you need to prove "judging the work of others in your field." For most tech professionals, hackathon judging is the fastest way to get there.

But here's the thing — finding and landing judging gigs is a massive time sink:

  • Search Devpost, MLH, Devfolio every week
  • Find the organizer's email (it's never obvious)
  • Write a personalized outreach email
  • Follow up when they don't reply
  • Track everything in a spreadsheet

Most people do this for a few weeks, get inconsistent results, and give up.

Our Solution

JudgeOS automates the entire pipeline:

  1. Discovery — We scrape hundreds of hackathons daily and filter out the corporate-managed ones that never respond
  2. Enrichment — For every hackathon, we find the organizer's email, judging criteria, prize info, and more
  3. Outreach — One-click template emails generated from your profile, sent via your own Gmail
  4. Tracking — See what's sent, who replied, and what's next

How It Works

  1. Sign up with Google (we need Gmail send access for outreach)
  2. Fill out your Judge Profile — expertise, past experience, links
  3. Browse opportunities sorted by quality
  4. Click "Apply as Judge" — a personalized email is generated and sent from your account
  5. Track replies and build your portfolio

What's Next

We're building Autopilot for Pro users — it'll automatically send your template to new matching hackathons as they appear. Zero effort, steady pipeline of judging invites.
