Climate and energy

Policy alignment makes the national-interest argument unusually strong, and unusually easy to document.

What is different about this vertical

  • Government strategies and directives in this space provide the citations that the national interest prong depends on.
  • Grant funding and public research programmes are third-party recognition by construction.
  • The vertical suits the self-petitioned permanent routes better than employer-sponsored ones.

What that means for your process

Evidence collection begins at offer rather than at filing. The load-bearing items — publications, citation records, judging invitations, press about the individual — sit largely outside your organisation's control, which means they cannot be produced on demand and have to be gathered while the ordinary work continues.

Country of birth determines the queue. A plan that does not model it will be wrong for some of your people for reasons unrelated to merit.
